NCR’s leading developer, Bhutani Group that recently hit headlines for winning the bid to develop the prestigious International Film City project in Greater Noida, is once again in the spotlight for acquiring a majority stake in World Trade Centre, Noida, a company licensed by World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) to develop 13 WTCs across India.

Bhutani Group’s partnership comes in the backdrop of WTC Noida requiring about Rs 3000 crore of equity infusion to complete its ongoing projects in Noida, Chandigarh, Gurgaon and Gift City Ahmedabad. The WTC projects have a combined leasable area of 30 million sq ft. Bhutani Group’s partnership will come in handy speeding up construction towards completion and sales of pending projects. Besides, it will help boost future WTC projects in other cities like Lucknow, Varanasi and Amritsar. Especially when the WTC is looking to leverage the fast-growing office market in India, with plans to add 10 more centres by around 2030, taking the total number of trade centres in India to 50.
