Decks are cleared for the structural audit of 18 housing societies in Gurgaon , following the finalisation of a panel by the Department of Town & Country Planning (DTCP) and Gurgaon Administration , to carry out the audit. A four- member panel, comprising representatives from Bureau Veritas, TPC Technical Projects Consultants, Vintech Consultants and NNC Design International will carry out audits of the societies where residents have alleged serious flaws with regard to construction quality. Most of these housing societies are located in New Gurgaon along Dwarka Expressway and Southern Peripheral Road.
As per the terms of the expert panel, it will determine the quality of the construction, besides finding the fundamental cause for structural defects and seepage. It has also to ascertain if the societies in question are structurally safe for the habitants. If not, can these be made safe by undertaking some structural measures.
