The Stellar School of Real Estate set up under the Punjab-based Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU) is all set to revolutionise real estate education in the country with the launch of a path-breaking RESEED (Reinforcing Skill Education for Employability Development) programme at a special event held at the  LTSU campus in Ropar (Punjab).Vinod Behl

Stellar School of Real Estate is aimed at providing the new age knowledge  and skills to the young workforce aspiring to join  the real estate industry which is on the path of high growth and is  likely to achieve the size of USD 1 trillion by 2030. Its pioneering initiative of RESEED under Stellar School of Real Estate is a National Skills Qualification Framework Level 4 which is a 6-month certificate course in real estate with a credit score of 33. To begin with, LTSU has launched India’s first real estate course for channel partners.  For this,  LTSU has joined hands with industry veteran Vineet Nanda , Chairman, Regional Urban Infra Committee, FICCI and Director Sales and Marketing , Krisumi Corporation . Nanda has been taken as the member of the Board of Management of LTSU.

This highly focused research based real estate education programme-RESEED  is envisaged under Centre of Specialised Training (COST). This is the first of its kind real estate industry-focused certificate level programme where faculty comprises  a blend of academic and industry practioners . They  will train the candidates including young aspirants and working professionals of real estate companies and their channel partners to transform them into high-performing professionals demonstrating best industry practices.  

The curriculum of this certificate course has been prepared by the real estate experts, led by a seasoned sales and marketing professional Bhaswar Paul. This comprises a wide range of topics  including property management, real estate finance, vastu . This follows the credit system as per National Credit Framework of UGC including credits for On the Job Training (OJT), leading to a recognised cerification by the university.The harmony between technology and applied skills will address the crucial skill gap. Besides developing real estate skills, the programme will also focus on soft skill development. It will inspire channel partners, agents and young professionals to learn and advance their real estate careers under constant guidance from the top industry veterans and highly experienced instructors , thereby providing new job opportunities to the young workforce. The objective of launching this national programme is to impart  skill  to the channel partners and their team members towards a transparent business environment with a focus on customer needs. Bhaswar Paul, Col Vimal Kapoor and Dr Ashutosh Sharma have been appointed as eminent members of the faculty.

According to Dr Sandeep Singh Kaura, Chancellor of LTSU, the novel approach of RESEED programme will ensure that LTSU students are not only strong in their fundamentals  but also well versed with the in-demand employability and applied skills .

The launch event of RESEED course was graced by top notch channel partners of Chandigarh Tricity, Punjab, Haryana and the National Capital Region. It also saw the representation from developers of national and international repute including Krisumi Corporation, Omaxe, Whiteland, Pareena, SBH and World Trade Centre India

To kickstart the launch event, a knowledge sharing session was conducted in which valuable insights were shared by industry leaders including Dr Sandeep Singh Kaura, Advisor, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Chancellor, LTSU, Akash Bansal, Senior Director and India Lead, JLL, Dr Ananta Singh Raghuvanshi , Founder President NAREDCO MAHI, Sanjeev Kathuria, Author, Founder & CEO, Torbit Consulting, Anoop Dixit, Founder & CEO Cog Culture, Tarun Kalra , Vastu expert, Gopal Pandey , Marketing Strategist, Marcom Ideaz and Kuldip Chawlla, Former CFO, Puravankara Limited and Former Director, Red Fort Capital. 

Speaking at the event, Dr Sandeep Singh Kaura, Chancellor LTSU said that RESEED will build a learning ecosystem which is in line with PM Modi’s vision of making India a skill capital of the world by providing global level skills to youth to make them employable in domestic and overseas markets. 

Vineet Nanda, Member of the Board of Management LTSU, dwelling on the RESEED course said that it has been designed considering the necessity of  equipping real estate  industry professionals  (including sales teams)  with the knowledge of legal and government regulations, soft skill development, technical and digital domains of the sector, thereby  addressing both practical and technical aspects  in a RERA-regulated environment.  Especially so as majority of channel partners and their team members including those registered with RERA, do not possess adequate knowledge of RERA and the requisite expertise to handle residential/commercial real estate buyers. This innovative course will help the unorganized  sector usher in an era of transparency and image improvement  , thereby  promoting sustainable growth of the real estate industry in India.

Dr Ananta Singh Raghuvanshi, Founder President NAREDCO MAHI described RESEED as a major step towards promoting transparency , sustainability and trust in real estate industry while also supporing  the Skill India Mission and encouraging entrepreneurship. Akash Bansal from  JLL India said that the RESEED course will enable brokers/channel partners to gain confidence  and position themselves as elite certified professionals in this category to help buyers/sellers professionally. 

At the launch event, a yearly  Torbit Knowledge Book ( a compilation of insightful and authoritative articles) aimed at making real estate a safe, transparent , secure and profitable asset  was presented to all the participants. Speaking on the occasion, Sanjeev Kathuria said that the launch of RESEED marks a significant milestone in the development of the industry as it has the potential to encourage entrepreneurship and skill development.

Going forward, Stellar School of Real Estate under LTSU , will offer various programmes from certificate level to diploma to degree to post-graduate level. The graduate and higher degree programmes shall be offered under Centre of Excellence(COE) whereas diploma and certificate level programmes  will be offered under Centre of Specialized  Training (COST) and Centre of Vocational Training (COVT). According to LTSU Chancellor, Dr Sandeep Singh Kaura, the RESEED courses taught by the industry practitioners and the university’s strategic association with IBM as anchor partner , RERT as academic partner  and Tata Technologies and Ansys Corporation as industry partners , will ensure that the courses targeted at the industry with the support of the industry  meet their desired goal.
