Realty major DLF’s Chairman, Rajiv Singh has retained the tag of the wealthiest Indian real estate entrepreneur with a wealth of Rs 59030 crore. He is followed by Mangal Prabhat Lodha and his family (Lodha Group of Mumbai) occupying second position with a wealth of Rs 42270 crore. Arjun Menda & family of Bengaluru-based RMZ Corp debuted at the third position with a wealth of Rs 37000 crore.
Chandru Raheja and family (K Raheja Group) with a wealth of Rs 26620 crore, Niranjan Hiranandani ( Hiranandani Communities) with a wealth of Rs 23900 crore , Jitendra Virwani (Embassy Office Parks) with a wealth of Rs 23100 crore , Vikas Oberoi (Oberoi Realty) with a wealth of Rs 22970 crore, Basant Bansal & Family (M3M India) with a wealth of Rs 16110 crore, Raja Bagmane (Bagmane Developers) with a wealth of Rs 16100 crore and Gavva Amarender Reddy (Gar Corporation) with a wealth of Rs 15000 crore are the other billionaire realtors who figure in the list of top 10 real estate honchos.
They all figure among Grohe-Harun India Real Estate Rich List 2023, featuring 100 individuals from 67 companies and 16 cities with a snapshot of their wealth. As many as 61 percent of real estate tycoons in the list saw an increase in their wealth and out of them 25 were new faces. Vinod Goenka of DB Realty saw the steepest rise of 188% in wealth to Rs 980 crore.
The cumulative wealth of the top 100 entrepreneurs stood at Rs 472330 crore up 4 percent against the previous year. The top 10 real estate billionaires accounted for 60% of the cumulative wealth. The entry point to the top 10 has surged from Rs 3350 crore in 2017 to a staggering Rs 15000 crore. Similarly, the threshold to make it to the top 50 has risen from Rs 660 crore in 2017 to Rs 1300 crore now. Pia Singh and Renuka Talwar are the richest women in the real estate rich list. The youngest on the list is 45-year-old K V Satish of DS Max
Among the cities Mumbai leads the list with 29 individuals followed by New Delhi with 23 and Bengaluru with 18. In Delhi-NCR Manoj Gaur of Gaur Sons (ranked 40th with a wealth of Rs 1950 crore), Pradeep Aggarwal of Signature Group ( ranked 58th with a wealth of Rs 1090 crore) , Kabul Chawla of BPTP ( ranked 64th with a wealth of Rs 980 crore, Rohtas Goel & family of Omaxe ( ranked 67th with a wealth of Rs 940 crore) and Pankaj Bajaj & family of Eldeco Infrastructure & Properties ( ranked 72nd with a wealth of Rs 860 crore) figured among the top 100 richest real estate moguls.
