Delhi-based Omaxe group has secured a 50-acre project from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to develop a sports complex and retail project at Dwarka in the national capital under the ‘design build finance and operate’ model. The total investment on both the projects will be around Rs 2100 crore including Rs 1300-1400 crore on sports complex which will have a large cricket cum football ground , besides indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The retail area will come up at a cost of about 600-700 crore. According to Rohtas Goel, Chairman, Omaxe Group, this marquee project is the first sports facility of world class standards being developed in the capital by the DDA on PPP model.
