At a time when India’s cities are expanding faster than ever—often outpacing structured planning—Magicbricks has announced a strategic partnership with the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA Delhi) to bring sharper, research-led clarity to the country’s evolving real estate landscape.

The collaboration aims to bridge a critical gap in Indian real estate—where abundant market data often exists in silos, disconnected from urban planning realities. By combining large-scale consumer demand signals with academic and spatial planning frameworks, the partnership seeks to create insights that are not just data-rich, but contextually meaningful.

As part of this initiative, the partnership will develop joint research reports, thematic white papers, and in-depth studies on housing and urban trends. These outputs, to be rolled out over the next 12 months, aim to enhance market transparency and support more informed decision-making for developers, policymakers, and homebuyers. While not directly influencing policy, the insights are expected to contribute meaningfully to broader urban planning and development conversations in India. The findings will be disseminated through seminars, roundtables, and public forums, fostering more informed and nuanced dialogue across the real estate ecosystem.

Prasun Kumar, CMO, Magicbricks, said, “At Magicbricks, we sit at the intersection of data and decision-making in real estate. But data in isolation doesn’t build cities—context does. This partnership with SPA Delhi is about adding that layer of academic and planning depth to our insights, so the industry moves from fragmented signals to more meaningful, future-ready intelligence.”

Spokesperson School of Planning and Architecture, said, “The partnership between the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA Delhi) and Magicbricks is an intentional move to bridge the gap between academic theory and market reality. SPA Delhi works with Magicbricks’ massive repository of real-time real estate data, allowing for research grounded in actual consumer behavior and market trends rather than just theoretical models. By combining SPA Delhi’s technical expertise with Magicbricks’ market reach, the duo can produce high-impact reports that provide data-backed recommendations for national urban policy.”

Operationally, joint working teams from both institutions will identify key research themes, ensuring that outputs are grounded in both real-time market dynamics and long-term planning principles. The one-year engagement will follow a continuous knowledge series format, with a sustained focus on housing and urban development.

The partnership brings together complementary strengths—Magicbricks’ extensive data intelligence and consumer insights, alongside SPA Delhi’s academic rigor and expertise in urban systems. This convergence is expected to enable a more structured and evidence-based understanding of how India lives, builds, and grows.
