The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) has appointed Anshul Singhal, a logistics and industrial real estate veteran, as Chairman of the ASSOCHAM Task Force on Warehousing. Singhal also chairs ASSOCHAM’s National Council for Logistics and Warehousing.

This comes at a time when warehousing has emerged as one of the fastest-growing segments of Indian real estate. Singhal has been a transformative force in India’s logistics landscape, and has spent more than a decade catalysing the country’s warehousing space, bringing a structured, institutional-grade approach to a once-fragmented sector. 

“India’s warehousing sector is entering a phase where scale must be matched by efficiency, resilience and technology. The Task Force will bring together industry stakeholders to identify practical solutions, strengthen standards and support policy dialogue. Our priority is to turn these conversations into actionable measures that strengthen India’s warehousing ecosystem and accelerate its next phase of growth,” says Anshul Singhal, Chairman of the ASSOCHAM Task Force on Warehousing.

Across three prior platforms, Anshul Singhal has originated, built, managed and exited approximately ₹14,250 crore of real assets, and has delivered 52 million sq. ft., including 20 industrial and warehousing parks. He was previously the Committee Chair at CII’s Warehousing National Network, and is a member of YPO, RICS and the GRI Club.

Under Singhal’s leadership, the newly-constituted ASSOCHAM Warehousing Task Force will deliberate regularly on key challenges and emerging opportunities in the warehousing sector, and work towards bolstering India’s warehousing ecosystem and making it more efficient, resilient and technology-enabled. The Task Force aims to provide a platform for industry stakeholders to examine issues relating to modern warehousing infrastructure, technology adoption, efficient storage and distribution, integrated logistics and supply chain, standards, sustainability and value-added services, and will work collaboratively to identify and implement practical solutions, recommend policy and regulatory measures, and facilitate greater industry-government engagement.
