Bengaluru-based real estate developer Brigade Enterprises has officially announced its expansion into the Coimbatore property market. The company plans to develop a new residential project spanning 5.4 acres in the Saravanampatti area, marking a significant milestone in its regional growth strategy.
The upcoming development is structured as a joint venture, with an estimated gross development value of ₹600 crore. This move represents the group’s first major foray into the Coimbatore residential sector, as it looks to broaden its footprint across South India.
Pavitra Shankar, Managing Director of Brigade Enterprises, described the entry into Coimbatore as a calculated step in the company’s broader expansion journey. According to the developer, the project aims to leverage the firm’s extensive multi-domain expertise to cater to the evolving needs of the local market.
While the company establishes its presence in Coimbatore, it continues to maintain a significant pipeline of projects elsewhere in the region. The developer noted that it currently has approximately 16 million square feet of real estate projects in various stages of development in Chennai. By diversifying into Coimbatore, the group intends to strengthen its overall portfolio in the southern states, building upon its existing operational experience in major metropolitan hubs.
