Reinforcing the importance of credible recognition and knowledge-led sector development, Primus Partners has partnered with the Build India Foundation as Knowledge Partner for the Build India Infra Awards 2026. The third edition of the national platform will be held on 24 February 2026 at The Ashoka Hotel, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, where the winners, already selected through a rigorous jury process, will be formally honored in the presence of senior government leadership, policymakers, industry leaders and infrastructure experts.

The awards recognize excellence across critical infrastructure sectors including Roads, Railways, Aviation, Ports, Urban Transport, Water Infrastructure, Power, and Intelligent Transport Systems, along with a dedicated Trailblazing Special Infrastructure category that acknowledges unique and path-breaking projects that do not fall within conventional classifications. The platform celebrates initiatives that demonstrate measurable socio-economic impact, engineering excellence, innovation in execution and sustainability outcomes at scale.

For the 2026 edition, Primus Partners structured the recognition framework around three pillars, Innovation, Impact and Sustainability, shifting the focus from project size to public value and long-term national contribution. The platform evaluates projects not only on physical infrastructure creation but also on societal outcomes, efficiency improvements and environmental responsibility.

The awards have witnessed strong nationwide participation, receiving 132 nominations across sectors, including 50 in Roads, 14 in Railways, 14 in Aviation, 15 in Intelligent Transport Systems, 12 in Urban Transport, 10 in Water Infrastructure, 7 in Ports, 3 in Power and 7 Trailblazing projects. The breadth of participation reflects growing industry confidence in the platform and a willingness among stakeholders to benchmark performance against measurable impact and sustainability outcomes.

A distinguishing feature of the initiative is its transparent and trustworthy nomination and evaluation process. The submission framework was designed to be clear, accessible and participation-friendly, enabling organizations across geographies and project sizes to apply with confidence. Defined eligibility criteria, structured documentation and an objective scoring methodology drafted by Primus Partners ensured fairness and clarity. The assessment follows a holistic framework based on People, Process and Product, reinforcing merit-based recognition and strengthening institutional trust in the platform.

The jury deliberations have already been completed, and the ceremony on 24th February will focus on presentation of awards, sectoral recognition, panel discussion amongst intellectuals in infrastructure space and words of wisdom from some of the key ministers of the Govt of India. This evaluation, facilitated by Primus Partners, has been conducted by a distinguished jury comprising senior policymakers, former bureaucrats, sector specialists and industry leaders, ensuring an impartial and credible assessment.

As Knowledge Partner, Primus Partners has played an active role in analyzing nominations, supporting the jury in structuring the evaluation approach and documenting sector insights emerging from the entries. Through policy research and sectoral expertise, the organization has helped convert the awards into a knowledge platform that captures best practices, implementation models and lessons for replication across states and sectors. The initiative therefore serves both as a recognition platform and as a repository of actionable infrastructure learning for governments and industry.

The event will feature participation and addresses from invited senior government of India ministers and leaders including Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister for Road Transport & Highways; Shri C. R. Patil, Hon’ble Minister for Jal Shakti; Shri Shripad Naik, Hon’ble Minister for New & Renewable Energy; Shri V. Somanna, Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways and Jal Shakti; and a special video message from Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Hon’ble Minister of Communications. The programme will also include a ministerial fireside interaction and a sectoral plenary discussion on urban connectivity and modern infrastructure technologies.

Davinder Sandhu, Co-Founder & Chairman, Primus Partners, said,
“Through our collaboration with the Build India Foundation, we aim to strengthen the credibility and institutional value of infrastructure recognition in India. By supporting the jury in the evaluation process and analysing nominations, Primus Partners has worked to ensure that projects are assessed on measurable impact, innovation and sustainability. Platforms such as the Build India Infra Awards creates great opportunities for governments and industry to learn from each other, adopt their best practices and accelerate the development of high-quality infrastructure across the country”

Vaibhav Dange, Co-Founder & Director, Build India Foundation, added,
“The Build India Infra Awards were conceived to recognise not just infrastructure creation but infrastructure that meaningfully improves connectivity, efficiency and quality of life. We are happy to see increasing number of nominations each year all of whom excel in some or the other way. Our partnership with Primus Partners has strengthened the transparency and robustness of the awards process, while encouraging wider participation from across sectors and geographies. The platform provides an opportunity for organisations to showcase their work, share innovation and inspire the next generation of nation-building projects.”

A transparent, fair and accessible national recognition platform where projects are evaluated on impact, sustainability and public value, with Primus Partners strengthening the credibility of the process through independent knowledge analysis and structured jury evaluation support.

By combining recognition, transparency and knowledge dissemination, the Build India Infra Awards 2026 aims to encourage innovation-driven and accountable infrastructure development. The joint initiative reflects the shared commitment of Build India Foundation and Primus Partners to support resilient, sustainable and future-ready infrastructure aligned with India’s long-term development vision.
