Vineet Nanda -Chairman FICCI Housing & Infra Panel For Northern Regions
The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has appointed real estate veteran Vineet Nanda, director sales and marketing, Krisumi Corporation, as the chairman of its Housing and Infrastructure Committee for the northern states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, besides the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
The committee will serve as an interface for various stakeholders and government bodies as it leads policy advocating for the sector. It will foster bilateral linkages on domestic and international level for the promotion and development of the sector in north India. According to GB Singh, Regional Head, FICCI, the committee aims to connect with states for policy advocacy, conduct studies and publish reports, identify areas that impact growth of the sector in the region by way of creating interactive platforms to give a voice to the industry in the northern states.
As chairman of this prestigious panel, a highly respected industry professional, Nanda will be setting up the industry agenda for the coming year. He will serve as a guiding light in stimulating and mobilizing resources for the continued engagement of all stakeholders while also bridging the connection between the state governments with the industry at the grassroot level.
Ikea India Appoints New CEO
Swedish furniture maker Ikea (part of Ingka Group) has named Susanne Pulverer as its new and first woman chief executive officer and chief sustainability officer for its India business.
Susanne takes over from outgoing India CEO Peter Betzel who is moving on to his next assignment within the Ikea Group. Susanne was formerly group business risk and compliance manager at Ingka Group. In 2007, she was heading purchasing functions for Ikea South Asia, based in India. In 2017, she was managing director at Ikea Communications, the inhouse agency of Ikea for five years. In her last role in India, she led market development for the national capital region.
She has taken over as India head of Ikea at a time when global furniture retailer is in the process of expanding its omnichannel presence across cities, strengthening local sourcing and retail competence and much more.
Sequoia India MD Amit Jain Quits
Amit Jain, managing director of Sequoia Capital India has quit to pursue entrepreneurship opportunities. Jain had joined Sequoia India from global Uber in 2019 and has been part of this global venture firm’s growth stage investment practice, based in Singapore. After stepping down as MD, Jain will continue with Sequoia India as an entrepreneur-in-residence as he charts plans for his new venture.
