Ekostay, a prominent player in India’s alternative hospitality sector, has announced the launch of 19 premium villa properties in some of the most sought-after leisure destinations. This move is part of the brand’s vision to expand its presence across the country and cater to the increasing preference for private, memorable stays.
These new villas emphasize comfort, design, and bespoke service, enhancing Ekostay’s footprint in both popular and emerging tourist locations, whether by the coast, in the hills, or amidst serene countryside. The expansion features over a dozen villas in Ooty and Kodaikanal, along with nearly six properties in Maharashtra’s favorite spots including Lonavala, Alibaug, Karjat, and Igatpuri. Additional villas will also be available in Goa and Pune, further enriching the options for travelers.
Recent market research by Wryght Research & Capital shows that the India vacation rentals market is projected to grow from USD 3.45 billion in 2025 to USD 16.7 billion by 2034 at a CAGR of 19.2%, driven by rising leisure travel, workcations, and the digital nomad segment. Branded alternate vacation stays in India reached USD 483.7 million in 2024, with over 550 branded villas added that year; the market is forecast to reach USD 1.56 billion by 2029, expanding at a CAGR of 26.4%.
