The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has initiated plans to develop three new industrial areas in Gurugram district, identifying nearly 1,800 acres of land across around 12 villages for the project. The proposed clusters, planned in the Pataudi and Farrukhnagar regions, aim to expand the district’s industrial base, attract fresh investments and create large-scale employment opportunities.

According to officials, the corporation plans to purchase the land directly from farmers and landowners through the government’s e-Bhoomi portal. Under this mechanism, landowners voluntarily register details of their land on the portal and quote the price at which they are willing to sell. The government then negotiates and enters into agreements with those who agree to the terms. This system is considered more consent-based and transparent compared to the traditional land acquisition process, according to a report by The Tribune.

Officials said the project would be implemented in three separate clusters across the district. The first industrial area will be developed on around 750 acres in the Pataudi region. The land for this cluster will come from villages including Rampur, Janoula, Jhori and Jatola. This zone is expected to accommodate small and medium manufacturing units and allied industries.

The second industrial area is proposed along the Pataudi-Farrukhnagar corridor and will cover approximately 500 acres of land. The location is strategically important due to its connectivity with major highways and nearby industrial belts. The authorities believe that this cluster could attract larger industries and logistics-related businesses.

The third industrial hub will be developed on nearly 550 acres near the Farrukhnagar-Harsaru belt. This cluster is expected to strengthen the region’s logistics network and improve connectivity with surrounding industrial zones.

Officials stated that the development of these industrial areas will provide a significant boost to the local economy. The project is expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities while attracting new investments to the district. Infrastructure development such as roads, power supply and industrial utilities will also be upgraded in the surrounding villages.

The authorities believe the initiative would help expand the industrial footprint of Gurugram beyond the existing urban clusters and bring economic activity to rural areas. Once completed, the three proposed industrial zones are expected to play a crucial role in strengthening the region’s manufacturing and logistics ecosystem while supporting the state’s broader industrial expansion plans.
