Kerala has unveiled plans for a Rs 25,000-crore ‘Integrated AI Township’ at Infopark Phase III, set to be ready by 2030. Spread across 300 acres in Kizhakkambalam panchayat, the ambitious project is expected to generate over six lakh jobs and position the state as a hub for knowledge-driven growth.

In a joint news conference recently, Infopark CEO Susanth Kurunthil and Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) chairman K Chandran Pillai informed that the government would issue a notification regarding the pooling of 300 acres of land in Kizhakkambalam panchayat within weeks and the project master plan is expected to be ready in one year.

They informed that the new campus, which would be developed as a world-class ‘Integrated AI Township’, was expected to generate 2 lakh direct employment and more than 4 lakh indirect employment. The project will impart fresh momentum to Kerala’s development journey and transform the state into a knowledge economy.

A joint MoU between Infopark and GCDA, signed in the presence of CM Pinarayi Vijayan, outlines that GCDA will identify land through pooling while Infopark develops infrastructure for a worldclass tech hub and sustainable residential zone. The township aims to generate two lakh direct and over four lakh indirect employment, boosting Kerala’s knowledge economy.

Alongside IT and ITeS facilities, the project will feature schools, sports, cultural centres, malls, hospitals, and green spaces. GCDA is engaging landowners for consent, requiring 75 percent approval to proceed. Feasibility studies and detailed project reports will be submitted to the government within a year, with Infopark managing investment attraction and planning.
