National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) is set to undertake RERA-approved housing and real estate projects in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, according to Satish Chandra, Chairman of J&K RERA.

Speaking at the National Urban and Real Estate Development Conclave-2026, Chandra said that J&K RERA is in discussions with multiple agencies to facilitate approvals for upcoming projects in both Jammu and Srinagar. Land parcels are currently being identified, and NBCC is expected to participate in executing these housing developments once modalities are finalized.

He further noted that RERA has been allotted office space in both cities to streamline approvals. At present, five projects are under consideration, with growing enthusiasm for real estate development under the regulatory framework.
