NHPC Limited and NBCC (India) Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the construction of residential accommodation at NHPC’s Narwal office complex in Jammu.

The agreement, signed recently, covers the development of residential facilities over Block-II and Block-III of the complex and is aimed at enhancing housing infrastructure for NHPC personnel at its regional office. The project is slated for completion within a period of 20 months.

The MoU was signed in the presence of K. P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director, NBCC (India) Limited, and Ram Swaroop, Executive Director, NHPC Regional Office, Jammu.

The agreement was signed on behalf of NHPC by Pankaj Vashishtha, General Manager (Civil), and on behalf of NBCC (India) Limited by Mohammad Tariq, General Manager (Engineering).

The development is expected to significantly enhance residential facilities for NHPC personnel at the Jammu regional office.

Senior officials from both public sector enterprises were present on the occasion.
