The Madhya Pradesh government has approved a new logistics park in Indore district with an expected investment of over Rs 600 crore, an official said on Wednesday.
The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has allotted approximately 23 hectares of land to a private company for setting up the logistics park in Machal village, PTI reported.
Officials said the project will strengthen the logistics infrastructure (goods transportation and supply chain management) in the state.
The proposed logistics park will have direct connectivity to the Indore-Ahmedabad National Highway and will also be linked to the Pithampur industrial area, thereby accelerating the speed of goods transportation and supply, they said.
Himanshu Prajapati, Executive Director of MPIDC’s Indore unit, said, “With the implementation of this project, Indore will strengthen its position as a major logistics hub of the country.”
