Gauri Shankar is CEO India Business Parks at Capital Land

CapitaLand Investment Limited (CLI) has appointed  Gauri Shankar Nagabhushanam as Chief Executive Officer, India Business Parks, with effect from 1 April 2022, as part of its ongoing leadership renewal.  Gauri Shankar will bring more than 20 years of experience to the role and will succeed  Vinamra Srivastava, who will relocate to Singapore to assume a new role within the CapitaLand Group.

Formerly the Head of Investment and Chief Financial Officer of Ascendas-Firstspace, CLI’s India logistics venture, Gauri Shankar will be based in Bangalore, the headquarters for CLI’s India business parks business.  He will oversee CLI’s India business parks operations, investment, development, asset management, and private fund management, as well as grow its portfolio of assets in the country.

Gauri Shankar has been in the company for over 10 years and has played a key role in launching and expanding its logistics business in India.  He also brings a wealth of experience in private equity real estate investment and fund management as well as corporate finance.  A graduate of London Business School, Gauri Shankar has also held key positions in Accenture, Deloitte, Samba Financial Group and TAIB Bank, in Singapore, India as well as in the Middle East and North Africa.

For Capital Land, India is a core market and Gauri Shankar’s appointment assumes significance. Jonathan Yap, CEO, Fund Management , overseeing CLIs India business, looks at the appointment in the context of the company’s growth strategy to position it as a leading global real estate investment manager in the next phase of growth, delivering value to the stake holders.

Dheeraj Dogra Joins as CBDO, Village Groupe 

Dheeraj Dogra, a real estate and retail veteran with over 30 years of global experience, has joined the Village Groupe as their Chief Business Development Officer. The Village Groupe is a new age real estate start up with a portfolio of multiple assets under development. The group has successfully created vertically integrated platforms, offering outlet centres, ciema exhibition, food courts, branded family enternment centres and co-working.

A post-graduate in management from Emeritus (MIT, Columbia  & Tufts), holding advance certification in marketing strategy from Cornell University, Dogra has held leadership roles with global retailers like Macy’s Bloomingdales, Bed, Bath & Beyond in the US. In India, he has worked with leading developers like DLF, Ansal API, Omaxe, besides working for an IPC-BNP Paribas Real Estate. In his new role, Dogra’s focus will be on spearheading business development across the verticals.

Amit Goel is CTO of Blox 

Real estate buying platform, Box has appointed Amit Goel as its chief technology officer, based in Mumbai. Goel has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, working across sctors including payments, finance, and trading. He has held leadership positions at Dham, Droom and PayPal. He co-founded Room on Call (now Hotelopedia) where he set up the complete technology infrastructure, development, product management and operations.

In his new role at Blox, Goel will take care of all digital API integrations with authorities, corporations, banks for real time and up-to-date property history, taxation, registration and loans. to give customers a dependable and consistent experience.

Sanat  Maheshwari  Joins  as Sr Director, JLL

Sanat Maheshwari has joined JLL as Senior Director, North Residential Advisory Services and Developer Initiative.

An alumunus of SCMHRD Pune, Sanat has over 17 years of experience in B2B sales, online sales, real estate marketing/brand management, strategic business relationships. His last assignment was with Magicbricks Realty Services as City Head, NCR for a vertical responsible for business development from strategic/key accounts.

UdChalo Onboards Abhijit Das for Real Tech Vertical

UdChalo, a consumer tech start up has hired veteran real estate professional Abhijit Das to head its newly created Real Tech Vertical. An entrepreneur and corporate leader, Abhijit brings with him rich and diverse experience in real estate, financial services, and consumer industries. He held the position of Managing Director, East, JLL. He was instrumental in setting up a real estate consulting firm-Lemongrass which later merged with Cushman & Wakefield India.

At UdChalo, Abhijit will steer the company’s foray into real estate, facilitating affordable home buying for defence personnel and their dependents by tying up with Grade A developers. UdChalo recently signed its first project in Pune and plan to sign projects in NCR, Bangalore, Chandigarh and Jaipur in this financial year. It may later  foray into the development of affordable housing.
