The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has approved a series of measures aimed at strengthening industrial, logistics and civic infrastructure in the region around Noida International Airport.

The decisions were taken at the Authority’s 93rd board meeting, where officials also reviewed the progress of industrial parks and approved a mechanism to build a dedicated corpus fund for long-term maintenance of civic infrastructure.

Among the major decisions was the proposed development of a 200 acre multi-modal logistics park at Tappal-Bajna. According to YEIDA CEO RK Singh, land for the project will be offered to eligible investors through e-auction.

“The initiative will boost investment, employment and modern supply-chain infrastructure in the Yamuna area and help develop the region as a major logistics hub,” Singh said.

The Authority is also working on plans for a much larger industrial node spread across around 8,000 hectares to the south of Noida International Airport. YEIDA is in the process of appointing a consultant to prepare the master plan for the proposed industrial zone.

Officials said the industrial node is expected to attract fresh investments and create employment while strengthening logistics infrastructure and giving further momentum to planned industrial development around the airport.

Meanwhile, YEIDA has finalised its Corpus Fund Investment Regulation 2026-27 to ensure the long-term financial sustainability of civic infrastructure. Under the mechanism, one time lease rent and other eligible non-recurring receipts will be transferred to a corpus fund and invested in accordance with prescribed rules.

The interest generated from these investments, along with permissible amounts received from them will be utilised for the repair and maintenance of roads, water supply, sewerage and drainage networks, street lighting, parks, green belts and other civic facilities in the Authority area.

The board also reviewed the progress of industrial plot allotments Of 295 industrial plots measuring more than 4,000 sqm, lease deeds have been executed for 181 plots, while possession has been handed over for 152. Construction has begun on 69 plots and production has started at 13 units.

In the Medical Device Park in Sector 28, 123 of the 203 plots have been allotted. Possession has been given for 75 plots and construction has started on 28. Work is also underway on common facilities such as a 3D prototype lab, electronics assembly facility, biomaterial facility, common IT facility and tooling room

In Sector 29, 159 plots have been allotted in the Apparel Park, while 503 plots have been allotted in the MSME Park and 188 in the Handicraft Park.

YEIDA has also reported a significant increase in its receipts. Its total receipts up to September stood at Rs 4,222 crore in 2026-27, against Rs 1,495 crore during the corresponding period of 2025-26, registering a rise of around 182 per cent. The Authority’s expenditure also increased substantially, from Rs 333 crore during the corresponding period last year to Rs 5,501 crore this year. Officials said the bulk of the expenditure was towards land acquisition and repayment of loans.
