The real estate sector in Uttar Pradesh is set to receive a fresh boost with the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) approving 13 new real estate projects across six districts of the state. These projects involve an estimated investment of around ₹2,380.04 crore and will lead to the development of 4,724 residential and commercial units.
The approved projects are expected to expand residential and commercial facilities across various cities of the state. Increased construction activity is also likely to generate new employment opportunities.
The projects were approved during the 212th and 213th Authority Meetings held at the UP RERA headquarters. The meetings were chaired by Shri Sanjay Bhoosreddy, Chairman, UP RERA. After detailed consideration of the proposals related to various projects, the Authority granted approval to them.
UP RERA has reiterated that the development of the approved projects will be carried out in a transparent and time-bound manner in accordance with the provisions of the RERA Act. This will help safeguard the interests of homebuyers and further strengthen their confidence in the real estate sector.
Barabanki Leads in Investment
Among the approved projects, Barabanki leads in terms of estimated investment. Two residential projects with an estimated investment of ₹751.42 crore have been approved in the district. Together, these projects will result in the development of 591 residential units.
Lucknow Leads in Number of Units
In terms of the number of new units to be developed, Lucknow is at the forefront. One residential project has been approved in the district, involving an estimated investment of around ₹385.76 crore. The project will provide 1,392 residential units.
Three Projects Approved in Varanasi
Three residential projects have been approved in Varanasi. These projects involve a total estimated investment of ₹750.24 crore and will lead to the development of 1,189 residential units.
864 Units to be Developed in Ghaziabad
In Ghaziabad, three projects involving an estimated investment of ₹286.27 crore have been approved, including two commercial and one residential project. A total of 864 units are proposed to be developed under these projects.
Residential and Commercial Projects in Gautam Buddh Nagar
In Gautam Buddh Nagar, one residential and one commercial project have been approved. The two projects involve an estimated investment of around ₹186 crore and will result in the development of 564 units.
Two Residential Projects Approved in Agra
In Agra, two residential projects involving an estimated investment of ₹20.35 crore have been approved. These projects will lead to the development of 124 units.

The increasing activity in the real estate sector in Uttar Pradesh is also supported by the investment-friendly policies and simplified processes of the state government. The continuous efforts of the government to promote housing, urban development and investment have created a positive environment for new real estate projects across the state.
The proposed investment of ₹2,380.04 crore in these 13 projects is expected to accelerate construction activity. It is also likely to benefit sectors such as construction materials, transportation, engineering and other allied businesses.
The development of these projects will create new direct and indirect employment opportunities, boost economic activity at the local level and contribute to strengthening the state’s economy.
