Developers time to encash on reverse migration.

The current state of economic & social affairs together with the onslaught of (AI) has made the Indian diaspora nervous. Fear of losing job, residency status, citizenship issues and discrimination are motivating Indians to look back home.

USA is not anymore, the land of opportunity like it was in 1980s-90s.

India today offers the same pay scales and work environment like the west together with social comfort and well-being. GCC “Global Capability Centres” data centres, setting up of semiconductor units, aerospace facilities, mobile manufacturing has brought India into lime light. We are not only a consumption economy now we are becoming a manufacturing hub.

Taiwan & Vietnam have in past demonstrated how they got their skilled resources back to their country. Indians out of country are seing this opportunity and starting to head back.

This is an excellent time to showcase quality residential products to the NRIs and with American currency appreciating the offering is only becoming attractive-lucrative for people who are wanting to return now or have plans to return back one day.

DLF in its recent report published that they made sales of 5250Cr* to NRIs which in 32% of their sales value. With middle east-west Asia in critical situation we are waiting for lots of money to come back to Indian Real Estate.

Europe & UK are also into deep financial mess.

I did my computer engineering in 1991 in flying colours (Gold Medallist) from Nagpur University. These were early days of computer literacy. There were ample of opportunities in west world USA, UK, Europe where skilled IT professionals were in high demands. Technology world of west has been essentially set up by Indians, Chinese etc.

My entire batch of follow computer engineers are in USA working for Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook and so on. They would often make fun of me;” University topper India MAE and brick and mortar Mein fasa hai aur hum Manhattan , USA mein chill kar rahe hain.

Today all these friends are looking back to India and calling me to help then buy a housing unit. Being a second-hand citizen is now hurting their emotions and their ego. Thankfully India has performed exceedingly well in the past decade.

The Governance, the Infrastructure, the consummation and manufacturing story has but India as the fastest growing economy in the world.

Developers this is a time to benefit from reverse migration. Do road shows, send your sales-team collaborate with brokers to pass on information to NRIs settled in USA, Middle East, UK and Europe to cut down on your inventories.
